Frequently Asked Questions
Fitment, freight, payment and warranty — the questions our parts desk answers every day.
Finding the right part
How do I know the part will fit?
Give us the model, the year and the serial number range and we will confirm it before you order. Every listing shows its part number — if it does not match the number you were given, call us rather than ordering and hoping. A five-minute call is cheaper than a return.
The part number on my old unit does not match yours. Is that a problem?
Not necessarily. Manufacturers supersede part numbers regularly, and a current number often replaces two or three older ones. Send us the number you have and we will tell you what supersedes it.
Do you sell used as well as new?
Yes. Used outboards are a substantial part of what we do, and each is listed with its own condition. New equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty; used equipment is sold on the terms shown on its listing.
Ordering and paying
Do you take credit cards?
No, deliberately. We settle by Zelle, bank wire, Cash App, Chime, Apple Pay and cryptocurrency. Keeping card processing out of the business keeps prices down on equipment this heavy, and no card details are ever entered on this website.
Is the crypto discount real?
Yes. Select cryptocurrency at checkout and 2% comes off the order total immediately — you will see it as a line on the order before you place it. We accept BTC, ETH and USDT.
When do you charge me?
Never automatically. You place the order, it reaches us as awaiting payment, and we email the payment details with your invoice. Nothing is taken until you send it, and nothing ships until it clears.
Shipping
What does shipping cost?
It is quoted per order. A set of gaskets and a 425 HP outboard are not the same shipment. Tell us your delivery ZIP and whether the address is commercial or residential, and we will quote the part and the freight together before you pay.
How long will it take?
Stocked items dispatch within 1–2 business days of cleared payment. Parcel shipments usually arrive in 2–5 business days, palletised freight in 3–10 depending on distance.
What do I check when it arrives?
Inspect the crate before you sign and note any damage on the delivery paperwork. That note is what makes a freight claim possible. Then contact us the same day.
After the sale
What warranty comes with it?
New equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty, passed through in full. Periods vary by brand — see our warranty page, and the documents supplied with your purchase.
Can I return something that does not fit?
Within 30 days, if it is uninstalled and in its original packaging. Contact us for a return authorisation number first. Anything that has been installed, run or disassembled cannot come back — see our returns policy.
