Warranty

What the manufacturer covers, what we cover, and what will void either.

Manufacturer warranty

New equipment carries the original manufacturer’s warranty, which we pass through to you in full. Terms vary by brand and product type, and the warranty documents supplied with your purchase are the authority — not this page.

As a general guide:

  • New outboard motors: typically 1 to 5 years, depending on brand and model
  • Pre-owned outboards: typically 1 to 2 years where a warranty applies
  • Crate engines and transmissions: per the builder’s published terms
  • Welding and power equipment: per the manufacturer, often with different periods for different components

Commercial use usually carries a shorter period than recreational use. If the equipment is going into commercial service, tell us before you buy and we will confirm what the manufacturer allows.

What voids a warranty

  • Installation by someone not qualified to do it
  • Running without the specified oil, fuel, coolant or service schedule
  • Modification, or fitting non-approved parts
  • Damage from accident, misuse, freezing or submersion
  • Commercial use of equipment sold for recreational use

Making a claim

Contact us first on +1 (209) 373-5717 or info@tsonevspareparts.com with your order number, the serial number and a description of the fault. Most manufacturers require a claim to be raised through the selling dealer, and several require diagnosis by an authorised service centre before parts are released.

Keep your proof of purchase and your service records. A warranty claim without a service history is the most common reason a manufacturer declines one.

What we do not cover

We supply equipment; we do not install or service it. We are not liable for consequential loss — downtime, lost charter, towing, haul-out or lost earnings — arising from a fault in a manufactured product. Those limits are set by the manufacturer’s warranty, and we will help you pursue a claim under it.

Talk to the parts desk

Give us the model, year and serial range. We confirm the part and quote the freight together.

No call centre and no quote-chasing — you get a real figure, in writing, from someone who can read a parts diagram and knows what supersedes what.
